Yo, NFL fans! Another big name is hanging up the cleats. Jacksonville Jaguars center Mitch Morse just announced his retirement from the NFL, and man, this shakes things up for the Jags in a big way!
The Journey – From KC to Jacksonville
Morse was originally a second-round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2015 NFL Draft. After putting in four solid seasons with KC, he made his way to the Buffalo Bills in 2019, where he became a key piece of their offensive line until 2023. The dude even made a Pro Bowl in 2022, proving he was one of the league’s best at protecting the QB.
Just last season, the Jaguars picked him up, hoping he’d bring some much-needed stability to their O-line. And guess what? He delivered! According to Pro Football Focus, Morse allowed just three sacks and two QB hits in 634 pass-blocking snaps. That’s some elite protection right there!

Jaguars’ O-Line in Trouble?
With Morse stepping away, Jacksonville now has a major problem to fix. Their offensive line was already a concern, and now with the center and right guard spots wide open, the team’s got some serious work to do before the 2025 season kicks off.
Fans are wondering – Will the Jags make a big free-agent move? Or will they try to find Morse’s replacement in the 2025 NFL Draft? One thing’s for sure – this squad can’t afford to ignore the trenches if they wanna keep their offense rolling.

Jags fans, it’s time to say thanks, Mitch – dude left it all on the field. But now, Jacksonville’s front office has to step up BIG TIME to replace him. Let’s see what they do next!
